Drawings
Out of all of the forms of art that I practice, drawing is probably the most familiar to me. It's what I started out with. Honestly, I've been drawing ever since I knew how. I don't remember a time when I wasn't into drawing, ever. It's therapeutic to me. I'll sketch items around me, or detailed portraits. Often I create elaborate doodles in my sketchbook to help me focus in class, which usually arouses skepticism from my teachers (if I were to just stare at someone talking, I'd zone out. This way, I can tune my ears in while giving myself a visual stimulus to focus on and it keeps me awake and interested).
Below are miscellaneous drawings I made from here and there. They range from huge projects for class to fun little doodles in my sketchbook. Enjoy :)

Zentangle Flower doodles
Spring 2015
These flowers have the tendency to slowly bloom inside of my sketchbooks. Each usually takes me at least several days worth of class time, because that is the only time I work on them. They are the product of my bored mind, which is a product of first hour government class. So really, government has planted the garden growing steadily in my sketchbook. Thanks, Mr. Anderson.
It's All About Perspective
December 2014
I also made this for my Kendall Dual Enrollment Drawing class last semester. We used charcoal and each chose a part of our high school to draw using perspective. It was along an painful process. The drawings are huge, the charcoal is messy and smudges easily, and perspective is a royal pain. I chose the English wing. Aside from the art rooms, it is my favorite area of the school. I love the huge floor-to-ceiling windows and I find the light calming. I'm glad I chose this part of the school to draw, and even though it was frustrating, I'm generally fairly happy with how the drawing turned out.
Charcoal Practice
November 2014
This was just a warm up in class one day. Each of us chose a fruit or vegetable (I picked a gourd) and we sat down and drew it using charcoal.

Drawing Glass
October 2014
I love drawing glass. Especially when I'm using white charcoal on black paper. That's what I did in the two drawings below. I made both of them for my drawing class through Kendall Dual Enrollment last semester. This was one of my favorites.

Eye Sketch

This is just something I did in one of my sketchbooks.
*disclaimer: I saw a drawing very similar to this on Pinterest. I loved it sketched it into my sketchbook. I intentionally used different colors and more contrast than the original. Mine is more silvery-looking. I do not know who the original artist is.
